BACKGROUND: The idea to establish an NGO to cater for the needy, poor and marginalized was conceptualized by Mrs. Patience Adarku Allotey. This conviction was discussed with Mrs. Lisa Alston who graciously welcomed and endorsed this noble idea. The kind gesture was to honor the Almighty God for the favours bestowed on her from a humble beginning. Mrs. Patience Allotey even in the midst of troubles, went into a covenant with God, and promised Yaweh to support the poor and knew her issue were resolved. The merciful God with unmeasured love, turned things around and fulfilled her request. She vowed to establish an Orphanage in honor of the Almighty to cater for the poor and the needy. All these occurred within a space of ten (10) years from her request to fulfillment from 2012 to 2022.
INTRODUCTION: Mrs. Patience Adarku Allotey contacted Apostle Patience Agyekum on the formation of Orphanage which she willingly supported. An administration office, offered by the Head Pastor, Mr. Michael Mensah Adimado of the Free Methodist Church was set up near Salvation Cluster of Schools. Funds for office equipment and furniture was provided by Mrs. Patience Allotey and purchased by Apostle Patience Agyekum. The C.Y.O.O commenced its objective through donations of food items, clothes, water to churches at Kasoa and other Orphanages.
DOCUMENTATION: Regularization of legal documentation was initiated on 23rd November, 2022 with application letter to the Head, Non – Profit Organization Secretariat (NPOS) A consent letter and Board Resolution Letter was attached to the application letter on the same date. The C.Y.O.O further applied to the register – General’s Department on 6th June 2022 in Accra – Ghana for Form 3B under the Companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) In response, the C.Y.O.O was granted a Company Registration number C.G.032130622 A certificate of incorporation, limited by guarantee under companies Act, 2019 (Act 992) was granted and issued with official Seal at Accra on 3rd June 2022 Mandated institutions that regulated operations of NGO’S were contacted. The police CID captured the Biometrics and provided forms to be filled. Various background checks of interim appointed members were duely investigated by personnel from the CID headquarters similarly the Social welfare and Police service visited the office for inspection. Aside the interim Executive members appointed other interim members were later appointed to complement support services of the day to day running of activities. It is worthy of note that, all funds related to the set up and management of the office, including operational activities was sent directly through the Director, Apostle Patience Agyekum.
FURTHER DETAILS: The support service include provision of: • Exercise books for each child in JSS 1 for three (3) years. • Note books for three (3) years. • Pens, pencils and erasers. • Mathematical sets. • Measuring rulers. • Sanitary pads for each girl as required for every month for three (3) years. • Fan to ensure good ventilation. • Projector, Laptop and giant screen to inculcate reading habit as well as show Bible stories to guide the kids morally. All these will be optional for kids and shall not be compulsory. • Provide snack per each reading session. • Provide a soft – ware to track the performance of each child in each subject and provide support to upgrade such child. • The CYOO will track the performance of each child and award prizes to the first five (5) pupil each academic year. • Best performing teachers in this class will equally be awarded prizes at the end of each academic year.
